The Wilderness Downtown: Interactive Music Video Featuring Arcade Fire

Arcade Fire just released the first HTML5-powered music video for its most recent single, “We Used to Wait.”
The interactive video incorporates visual data of your hometown using Google Maps, Street View, and the 3D graphics engine within HTML5.
The experience is optimized for the Google Chrome web browser. So if you don’t already have it, go ahead and download it!
Simply visit www.thewildernessdowntown.com and enter the address of the house you grew up in, or any address really.
If you don’t feel like going through that much trouble, click here to see an example of what the video will look like:
Bloc Party – Banquet – (Big Hands) Alternate Music Video
I think there are four different music videos for Banquet, but this one seems to keep my attention the best for some reason.
Must be the hands, LOL
This Town Needs Guns – “Panda”

“If time has taught us this much,
it’s that honesty is the cornerstone of trust.”
Kele – “Unholy Thoughts”
Probably my favorite song from the new Kele album ‘The Boxer’. It really does remind me of earlier Bloc Party.

★ YOUNG LEGIONNAIRE – Iron Dream
Another good one by Young Legionnaire.
I’m not sure when their debut will be available here in the US, but for all you UK folks, be sure to Pre-Order HERE!

Kanye West: Sampling Genius?
Say what you will about him as a person, but it’s interesting to hear exactly how he takes older songs and “modernizes” them for a younger generation. It also provides a chance for those that didn’t know about the originals to enjoy them as well and broaden their musical taste a little.
