Hey, you're pretty amazing.

The Wilderness Downtown: Interactive Music Video Featuring Arcade Fire

Arcade Fire just released the first HTML5-powered music video for its most recent single, “We Used to Wait.”

The interactive video incorporates visual data of your hometown using Google Maps, Street View, and the 3D graphics engine within HTML5.

The experience is optimized for the Google Chrome web browser. So if you don’t already have it, go ahead and download it!

Simply visit www.thewildernessdowntown.com and enter the address of the house you grew up in, or any address really.

If you don’t feel like going through that much trouble, click here to see an example of what the video will look like:

Twin Shadow – “Slow”

Diggin’ it.

Radiohead – “Jigsaw Falling Into Place”

My favorite song from In Rainbows

Gorillaz – “Dirty Harry”

(500) Days Of Weezy

(500) Days of Summer Movie Soundtrack + Lil Wayne = (500) Days of Weezy

Loyal Divide – “Vision Vision”

Passion Pit – “Tonight, Tonight”

“Lauded electro-pop band Passion Pit have re-crafted the Smashing Pumpkins’ “Tonight, Tonight” in a manner that is at once reverent and full of daring. Michael Angelakos’ affinity for the song is clear in the way his high voice hems to the original melody. But where the Pumpkins went for ambitious grandiosity, Angelakos submerges the song into an electronic world of synth.” – Levi’s Pioneer Sessions

Bloc Party – Banquet – (Big Hands) Alternate Music Video

I think there are four different music videos for Banquet, but this one seems to keep my attention the best for some reason.

Must be the hands, LOL

This Town Needs Guns – “Panda”

“If time has taught us this much,
it’s that honesty is the cornerstone of trust.”

Chiddy Bang – “Truth” / “Pass Out”

Francis and the Lights – “Darling, It’s Alright” Music Video

He’s got the funk.

People I Like – Milky

Kele – “Unholy Thoughts”

Probably my favorite song from the new Kele album ‘The Boxer’. It really does remind me of earlier Bloc Party.

Noisettes – When You Were Young

This video is about a year old, but I really like this cover of The Killers song “When You Were Young” by Noisettes.

Shingai Shoniwa has an incredible voice.

Another good one by Young Legionnaire.

I’m not sure when their debut will be available here in the US, but for all you UK folks, be sure to Pre-Order HERE!
